About us
DSRT Tavistock has been saving lives on Dartmoor since 1968 and is made up entirely of volunteers who are on call 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year. We operate through the Police and search for & rescue the injured, lost or missing on Dartmoor and surrounding areas. This includes despondents, dementia sufferers and vulnerable adults.
Unlike other emergency services, we are able to search, rescue, treat and evacuate casualties in the most remote areas of Dartmoor and in the most extreme conditions.
We have launched the RESCUE-50 appeal to raise £50,000 for a new Rescue Control Vehicle for the Team.
Thank you for your support and good luck!
With thanks,
Christine Palmer, Fundraising Officer for DSRT Tavistock
